Netflix: nova leva de títulos originais franceses vem por aí

A gigante de streaming, Netflix, não estava de brincadeira quando revelou seus planos de investir pesado em conteúdo original. Prestes a abrir um novo escritório na França, a empresa anunciou novos títulos criados no país, incluindo três documentários e um longa-metragem.

O anúncio foi feito durante um evento na cidade francesa de Lille, no qual também foram reveladas as sinopses e o nome dos projetos que ainda estão em fase de desenvolvimento. A data prevista para o lançamento das produções ficou para 2020.

Um rapper franco-congolês que vendeu mais de 5 milhões de cópias de seu último álbum (Ceinture Noire) é o tema do documentário que leva o seu nome. As filmagens acompanharam 1 ano na vida de Maître Gims, desde a gravação do álbum até a sua preparação para a turnê Fuego Tour, passando por locações como Paris, Marrakesh e sua cidade natal, Kinshasa, na República Democrática do Congo. A produção é de Black Dynamite e Chahawat.

O único filme anunciado, La Terre et le Sang será um suspense escrito e dirigido por Julien Leclercq, conhecido por O Resgate (2010). Segundo a sinopse, a história se passará nas montanhas onde um homem, Said, e sua filha, Sarah, mantêm um negócio familiar em um moinho para o qual contratam ex-presidiários. Tudo parece estar indo bem até que um deles traz problemas, fazendo com que a família precise se preparar para enfrentar um cartel.

O longa, que promete ser tenso e cheio de cenas de ação, está em fase de filmagens. O elenco foi divulgado e terá participação de Sami Bouajila (Dias de Glória), Eriq Ebouaney (3 Dias para Matar), Samy Seghir (Contra a Maré), Sofia Lesaffre (Pour Vivre Heureux) e Redouanne Harjane (Comment c'est loin). A produção é de Julien Madon e da Labyrinthe Films.
